Round dancing is a choreographed form of social ballroom dancing in which a cuer announces the steps as the music plays. Dancers often focus on learning one rhythm at a time — such as waltz, rumba, cha-cha, or two step, etc. — and gradually build their repertoire over time. Because the patterns are cued, dancers do not need to rely on traditional lead-and-follow skills, and leaders do not have to decide spontaneously which patterns to lead. This creates a relaxed and enjoyable way to learn and dance a wide variety of ballroom rhythms together. Visit https://www.woosterballroom.com/cued for more information.
